Ashley Tisdale Now has Brown Hair

Ashley Tisdale Now has Brown Hair . Ashley Tisdale gone darker with a brown hue. I’m only used to one High School Musical

brunette: Vanessa Hudgens.

I wonder how long Ashley will sport this look. I know when I dye my hair brown it dosn’t last long, I harry back to my blonde highlights. Not sure why, maybe because brown hair makes me feel a bit more ‘gloomy’. What do you think, do you love Ashley Tisdale’s new brown hair look?

High School Musical' Star Corbin Bleu Doesn't Think Franchise Should Graduate To College

High School Musical' Star Corbin Bleu Doesn't Think Franchise Should Graduate To College. Corbin Bleu is growing up, and the 19-year-old is ready to move on from his role as mop-topped Chad Danforth in the popular High School Musical franchise. Even Chad is moving on, now that he'll be attending the University of Albuquerque, and Bleu isn't sure there's any reason to make High School Musical 4: The College Years.

"I don't know about the college years," he told MTV News at the junket for High School Musical 3: Senior Year, "because the spirit of HSM has always been about high school."

Bleu talked to us about one of the main aspects of the franchise: over-the-top dance numbers. The film's director, Kenny Ortega, is familiar with fancy footwork, having worked on the Dirty Dancing television series and the film Newsies. "Dance has definitely changed over the years, when you look back at Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire," Bleu said. "At that time, it was viewed upon very well, technically.

"And now, at least in more of the technical side of it, when you look at dancing, it's cool to do hip hop," he added. "I think that's what's wonderful about HSM, especially this third one. There's a lot of really masculine numbers, while still maintaining some technical stuff."

One of the more masculine numbers includes a dance sequence that takes place in a junkyard for the song, "The Boys Are Back." "[There was] so much at your fingertips. You have so much to work with," he said. "We shot that number [over] two consecutive nights into the morning, and the sun was up, so we were very fragile and dead."

Bleu has become quite the song-and-dance man, so he might be a perfect fit on the Great White Way some day. "I would love to [do a Broadway show] in the future," Bleu said enthusiastically.

But he has a few other projects in the works to keep him busy until that razzle-dazzle dream comes true. "I'm working on music. I've been in the studio," he revealed. "I'm working on producing a film with my father called Freestyle. It's about motocross."

Cops Find Pot in Miss Teen USA’s Purse

Cops Find Pot in Miss Teen USA’s Purse

From TMZ:

Lindsey Evans, Miss Louisiana Teen USA, is about a pound lighter, because she just lost her crown.

We just got an advance copy of a statement that will be released from Paula Miles, President of RPM, sponsor of the LA. pageant.

“Lindsey Evans has been part of an organization that believes in opportunities when earned and consequences when warranted. Due to recent circumstances, Lindsey has been relieved of her duties as Miss Louisiana Teen USA 2008 effective immediately.”

Evans was arrested this weekend after she and a group of friends allegedly tried to dine-and-dash — all over a $46.07 bill. Problem — the pageant queen left her purse at the scene of the crime. She went back to retrieve it, and was busted when cops found pot in the purse.

Here’s the insult to injury. She only had 10 days left on her reign. But pageant officials didn’t have the patience to wait.

Miss Nevada USA, eat your heart out.

Double Trouble on the High Seas

Double Trouble on the High Seas.

Sprouses

Troublemaker Zack Martin and his sensitive twin, Cody, are packing up their suite at the Tipton Hotel and heading for the high seas this fall on a cruise ship. The Suite Life of Zack & Cody is spinning off into The Suite Life on Deck. With this crew, someone’s bound to go overboard. Current Events caught up with the Disney show’s stars, twins Dylan (Zack) and Cole (Cody) Sprouse. The 16-year-old brothers have been making Top Teen Idol lists across the Internet lately, and it turns out, they’re a lot like their characters.

CE: It seems like you’re always together. Do you ever have time to do your own things?
Dylan: We’re like best friends. Usually we enjoy the same things, so it’s fun. We surf and we skate and we bike. We play video games.

CE: Do you always get along?
Dylan: Oh no. We fight all the time. Over everything. Normally it’s pretty stupid stuff, like who got the last scoop of ice cream or playing video games.

CE: You’re becoming quite the celebrities. Do you ever Google your names or snoop on fan sites to see what people are saying about you?
Cole: We try not to do that. One of the key things we’ve learned is if you do that, you end up feeling a lot of different emotions that aren’t good. A lot of what’s out there is hurtful. It causes pain. Your own fan sites are usually OK, but if you Google yourself, there are a lot of rumors and comments that aren’t nice.

CE: Do the fan clubs and screaming girls ever drive you crazy?
Dylan: That’s actually pretty fun. You know, it happens.

CE: You said you love comedy. Which actors do you admire?
Dylan: Will Farrell. I would love to act in a movie with him. I think he’s a very funny guy.
Cole: Jack Black.

CE: If you could play any character, who would it be?
Dylan: I’d like to play any kind, as long as we’re getting out there

Bow Wow Raps: Get Out and Vote

Bow Wow Raps: Get Out and Vote

Bowwowconc

Bow Wow was 13 when he became the youngest solo rapper to score a #1 hit. He’s 21 now and about to vote for a U.S. president for the first time. The singer and actor, whose real name is Shad Gregory Moss, feels a duty to help motivate young people to get involved because, as he points out, they are tomorrow’s leaders. He’s leading a voter registration campaign called Walk Across America. Bow Wow spoke with Current Events student reporter Kaitlyn Ali about his campaign, his new foundation, and his future plans.

Kaitlyn: What message do you want to send with your Walk Across America campaign?
Bow Wow: The message is to try to get all of the youth to vote, to bring the awareness out to them, and to let them know how important it is to get out and vote because it is a very important time that is actually occurring right now in our country. We want to make sure that the people from ages 18 and up get the opportunity to register to vote.

Bowwowvote_2Kaitlyn: Why do you feel the need to encourage young people to vote?
Bow Wow: Number one, it’s the youth. My fans have always been the younger generation. A couple of years ago, when we had a chance to vote, the numbers were not what we thought they were going to be. This time, we have a second chance to change those numbers. So I figured we need the youth to vote and that nobody else could lead them to the polls but myself. I felt it was my duty and my responsibility to get out here and encourage the kids to do the right thing.

Kaitlyn: Have you been keeping track of how many people have registered to vote as a result of Walk Across America?
Bow Wow: In one particular college, we got over 200 kids in one day to actually register to vote, which is very, very, very huge, so hopefully that can make a difference. We’ve gotten so many people registered from being in universities and also just walking down the street.

Kaitlyn: If Barack Obama wins the election, how would you feel about him being the first African-American president?
Bow Wow: I think that if he wins it would be great because what a lot of people don’t realize is right now we’re actually living in history. It just shows that we’ve come a long way. We’ve come a long way throughout racism, throughout everything. And not only seeing the first African American that could potentially be the next president but also we had the opportunity to see a woman become the president, which was definitely huge as well.

Kaitlyn: I hear you’re launching a new foundation called Follow the Leader. What do you want the foundation to achieve?
Bow Wow: I feel that I’m the leader of the youth movement. So by me being a positive person and a positive role model for the youth, everything they see Bow Wow do, I want them to be able to say, “You know what, I can do it just like Bow Wow but I can do it better than Bow Wow.” My goal is to keep the kids off the street, make sure they stay in school, get a good education, and make sure that they definitely become something in life. With my help, hopefully they can achieve that.

Bowwow3 Kaitlyn: Is there anything you want to say to your fans?
Bow Wow: Stay in school. Stay focused. Get a good education and if there’s a goal in life that you want to achieve, stay focused, stay grounded. Go for it. Listen to your parents. Everything starts in the classroom. You got to make sure you study hard, you work hard, and you set high standards for yourself and that you achieve them, and don’t let nobody tell you that you can’t because you always can. And always make sure that you believe. If you do that, you should be OK.

Kaitlyn: I heard you will be in a couple of movies? Could you give us a little hint of what to expect?
Bow Wow: Right now, I’m on Entourage. But I have another movie coming out on Christmas Day called Hurricane Season and it stars myself and Oscar-winner Forrest Whittaker. So I want to make sure everyone go to the movies Christmas Day. So you can have Bow Wow for Christmas, too.

Whitney Port Finds Clothing Succes

Whitney Port Finds Clothing Succes

She looks to have adjusted to her Big Apple surroundings quite nicely, and yesterday Whitney Port was spotted doing a little retail therapy in the Soho district of Manhattan.

The former “Hills” hottie grabbed a gal pal and headed over to K-Star Jeans Store, looking flirty in a grey button-up vest, salmon-colored skirt, and black ankle boots.

And it sounds like Miss Port’s new designs are already beginning to overshadow her pal Lauren Conrad’s creations - a few of Whitney’s new party dresses have been picked up by Kitson, the store that dropped LC’s line.

Unfortunately, all of Port’s items are priced anywhere from $345 to $500, so shoppers may have to take out a loan if they want a look by Whitney.

Miley Cyrus Quitting 'Hannah Montanna'?

Miley Cyrus Quitting 'Hannah Montanna'? Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus has pledged her future to the show - insisting she isn't ready to quit. Reports suggest the 15-year-old had been arriving at the Disney Channel studios late and had been openly talking about wanting to get fired.

It was also claimed Cyrus did not get along with her co-star Emily Osment.

But Cyrus has dismissed the rumors and vows to continue with her Hannah Montana career.

She tells People.com, "I am fully committed to Hannah Montana. It's what gave me this amazing opportunity to reach out to so many people.

"I'm really excited about our new season. We are making great new episodes that I can't wait for our fans to see."

Miley Cyrus to film exclusive ‘Hannah Montana’ concert in O.C

Miley Cyrus to film exclusive ‘Hannah Montana’ concert in O.C.

Preliminary word arrives that Miley Cyrus will play an exclusive show at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine on Oct. 10, a concert to be filmed for the upcoming ‘Hannah Montana’ soundtrack.

Before you faint or rush to sell all your now-worthless stocks to buy tickets, take a deep breath: we’re still waiting full details on how tickets will be made available.

So far we know that Radio Disney will soon start giving them away to lucky callers. And the radio crew will also be giving some allotment away in person from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at the Citadel Outlets just of Interstate 5 as you head into north from Orange County into Los Angeles.

We’ll post more information on tickets as we get it, so come back to Pedro and the Watcher often for updates on that.

Cyrus’ most recent album, ‘Breakout,’ took steps toward breaking away — a little — from the ‘Hannah Montana’ character that made her a tween superstar. But with this show being filmed for a ‘Hannah’ soundtrack CD — presumably to accompany the ‘Hannah Montana’ movie slated for next spring – it seems likely to focus mostly on her earlier hits as that Disney Channel character.

Opening the show is Mitchel Musso, who plays Oliver on ‘Hannah Montana,’ and whose cover of ‘Lean On Me’ has been a Radio Disney hit this year. He’s said to have a CD of his own out in the near future.

The show is scheduled to run from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and marks Miley’s second big trip to Orange County in less than a week.

On Sunday, Oct. 5, she’ll celebrate her 16th birthday at Disneyland, closing down the park for the evening for a private party, though fans were able to buy $250 tickets to attend. All of the 5,000 tickets provided, however, have been sold.

Gossip Girl Rundown: Episode Five, "The Serena Also Rises"

Gossip Girl Rundown: Episode Five, "The Serena Also Rises. While there was a whole lot of girl-on-girl drama in this week's episode of Gossip Girl, I am mostly concerned with Dan's dive into the dark side. That's right: he's spending time with Chuck. Those two are great together and I actually like earnest, sorta nerdy, talks-too-much Dan more than sappy in-love-with-Serena Dan. And we're learning so much about Chuck's psyche! He puts up such a tough exterior, doesn't he? His daddy issues run pretty deep, and he really wants someone to be his friend (Nate's been falling down on the job). Basically, Chuck needs a hug.

I'm glad the Duke and Duchess and that icky Nate/Duchess drama is behind us, and in its place we now have a new character — the hilariously named socialite Poppy Lipton. Are you ready to chat about it all? Just read more.

  • Did you catch them slipping in Dan wanting to go to Yale now instead of Dartmouth (and the previews in which both Blair and Serena visit Yale)? I think that's a hint at where season three will take place, what do you think?
  • I love having Lily back and I love even more that she has a naked portrait of herself which wants to show. . . her children.
  • Chuck's really perfected lurking in the school courtyard and obsessing over dethroning Blair. Their fight about who has fewer friends reminds me of similar fights I had in say, sixth grade. Although, I do love when Blair pulls in Dan, just because: "The only person with fewer friends than you is Dan Humphrey and at least his lame '90s dad likes him." Poor Rufus, apparently the '90s are lame.
  • Also lame now? Kirsten Dunst, according to the folks working on the seating chart for Elinor's fashion show. She's "so 2007." FYI.
  • OK, Dan's "mentor" guy is kind of cheesy. Maybe the whole "Dan's a published writer" is cheesy to me but regardless, when his mentor instructs Dan to "go find your Bukowski," I laughed a lot.
  • Turns out that Chuck is Dan's Bukowski! Chuck and Dan's initial exchange on this matter is amazing. Dan: "I need to experience new things." Chuck: "Are you gay?" Dan: "I'd like to experience the world of Chuck Bass." Chuck: "You're lucky I'm bored."
  • OK, sorry, more Chuck and Dan. Dan on drugs and booze the first night (what were those pills?) make their limo ride so funny. I love when he excitedly asks, "How do you know so many twins?!" followed by, "My feet are hot, my feet are hot."
  • Blair throws a lot of screamy fits in this episode but this was the best: "Don't ever go to high school, Dorota!"
  • At first I thought Blair was rather intolerable — sabotaging her own mother's fashion show, taking her anger out on Little J, etc. — but ultimately I'll take her bratty evilness over Serena and her "sparkle" any day.
  • Jenny quit school? What?! I think if I were Rufus I'd be a tad more upset.
  • Lily and Bart are creepy together and his box of her secrets is even creepier. What's in the envelope?!
  • And finally, two words: Charlie Trout.

Do you think Jenny is smart to align herself with Blair over Serena? While having Blair on your side can be extremely useful, she turns so easily and once she's your enemy, you're toast. Seems risky. Do you like Dan and Chuck as friends? Do you think Chuck will ever forgive Dan for Charlie Trout? I guess we're picking teams now, too: Serena or Blair? Should Rufus just enroll Jenny into public school so it's cheaper for him when she skips class? Let's discuss!

I Want This Wardrobe: Gossip Girl, Serena van der Woodsen

I Want This Wardrobe: Gossip Girl, Serena van der Woodsen

Serena van der Woodsen may look melancholy in this picture, but don't let her pensive pose fool you. In last night's episode of Gossip Girl, the new reigning queen of the Upper East Side showed her true colors and relished in her beauty with a new friend — leaving Blair in the dust.

You can loathe her but you can't deny her rockin' style. Before taking the stage, Serena arrived to the fashion show in a chain dangling La Rok Navajo mini halter dress. Funky and Fab.
